The Artisan Wire Works Story
Artisan Wire Works Designs are all born from the heart of the artist, Elizabeth Smith. She learned the craft of wire sculpting about 6 years ago and has been happily creating beautiful pieces of jewelry ever since.
Beth loves what she does and we think this shows in her work. She also loves to work with many different materials using the time-honored craft of wire sculpting, more often referred to as wire wrapping. With strands of round and square wire made from 14kt Rolled Gold (14kt Gold Filled) and Sterling Silver, she is able to make her jewelry using the twists and turns of the wire itself. Not caustic solders or glues are used.
While Beth's sculpting involves many different kinds of materials, her favorites to work with are natural. Whether faceted colored gemstones, semi-precious gemstones, rare minerals or even fossils, these seem to inspire her the most. While we're not quite sure if gemstones hold healing properties, they can certainly show the awesome beauty that only comes from nature's bounty taken from God's green earth.
Beth truly feels, and has witnessed many times, that each of her pieces are so unique because they are meant for the one person who will appreciate them the most. As she varies her styles depending on what the material at hand seems to say to her, each creation is destined to be as unique as the woman who will wear them.
Many woman-hours are put into our jewelry and we hope that you enjoy them as much as Beth enjoyed creating them. Our customers happiness with their purchase is our utmost desire. We sincerely hope that you'll enjoy our hand-crafted jewelry for many years to come!
